WHAT TO DO IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN FOSTERING A RESCUE DOG
By becoming a foster care site, you can help in many ways:
1. Prevent overcrowding at the shelter
2. Reduce the risk of contagious diseases
3. Give newborn animals a healthy start in life
4. Give sick or injured animals a comfortable environment for recuperation
5. Accustom unsocialized animals to life with human companions
6. Provide housebreaking and other essential training
7. Provide a peaceful respite for geriatric or chronically ill animals
If you would like to learn more about fostering, please fill out our short online application. Just click on the link to the appropriate form to access the application. Filling out the online application is the first step and will put you into our system but does not commit you to anything.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING A RESCUE DOG
If you would like to learn more about one of our rescues, please fill out our short online application. Just click on the link to the appropriate form to access the application. Filling out the online application is the first step and will put you into our system but does not commit you to anything.
An adoption coordinator will contact you for more information. Please understand that we are a volunteer organization--we will try to get back to you as soon as possible, usually within 48 hours.
Once you have spoken to an adoption coordinator about the pet you are interested in, and if you would like to continue with the adoption process, arrangements will be made for you to meet the pet at his or her foster home or other venue.
After you have met the pet of your choice, your home visit will be scheduled. The purpose of the home visit is to ensure that the rescue animal will be living in a safe environment, as well as to support the adoption process.
A Diamond in the Ruff Pet Rescue reviews applications in the order in which they are received. We do, however, focus on matching the right animal to the right family to ensure successful adoptions. These animals have had enough hardship in their lives--our goal is to place these wonderful pets into homes where they will be safe and loved forever.
ADITR requires an adoption fee for all rescues. This fee helps cover the medical, transport and foster expenses incurred in rescuing each animal. Our expenses for each rescue almost always exceed our adoption fee.
All ADITR Rescue animals must be spayed or neutered to help stem the vast problem of overpopulation. All ADITR animals are given basic vaccinations appropriate for their age.
ADITR will provide discounts for senior pets.
We are in desperate need of donations to cover the costs of transport, veterinary care/medicines, food, toys, crates, etc. Every dollar counts! If you are able to donate, please click on the link below and make your donation through paypal to firstname.lastname@example.org.
